Olá, parabéns pelo plugin. Tive um problema com os caracteres do meu banco de dados, e só conseguir consertar com a utilização deste plugin. Com certeza foi muito útil para mim.

@mark: no, it is not possible - the plugin use a sql-fuunction and this is not easy. I think, it give a plugin with the possibility to use wildcarts; please search on the repository on wordpress.org

Hi Frank,
Could you add wildcard (*) character to the Replace string?
Example, I want to replace complete LINE which contains different word(s) in the middle:
[tag xxxx aaa 123] word(s)[/tag]
if we could do something like that:
[tag xxxx aaa 123] *.*[/tag]
and replace the whole line, regardless what's in *.*

@rus: works also in page, search for post_content in table post and WordPress hase the content of pages in the same table and same row, only a other post_type.

Why does it not work for "PAGES" instead of just posts? Many people use wordpress for a CMS instead of a blog. =)

This is a brilliant plugin. I have been using it to replace mangled characters in a big WordPress installation that had been moved to a new host that was not set up for UTF8 in all the MySQL tables. My only problem was deciphering what some of the characters were supposed to be, so that I could change them back to their previously accented forms. A lot of the more difficult words were people's names, which I couldn't easily guess, so I used the WayBack Machine at archive.org to see what those words had had been long ago. A big thank you!

@Chris: nein, das Plugin spricht immer nur die Tabellen der jeweiligen Installation an. Dazu musst du via phpMyAdmin oder Adminer arbeiten.

Hallo Frank,
bevor ich irgendwelche Fehler mache, vorab die Frage: ich habe nur 1 SQL-Datenbank, über die aber versch. WP-Installationen laufen, die ich in der wp-config.php jeweils entsprechend benannt habe, also z.B. "wp_haupt_" usw.
Jetzt möchte ich aber Einträge einer Installatin "wp_haupt_" ändern in "wp_business_".

Ist das mit deinem Plugin machbar oder sind da weitere Schritte nötig, müsste ich also auch die wp_config.php u.a. ändern? Bin etwas ratlos ... Danke.

Frank, Thanks for your reply. I do a search for and it returns with results, though when I try to replace it with an empty space (I want to just delete all instances) it doesn't appear to successfully delete .

Im simple:forum-Plugin konnte ich das Problem lösen - im Modul sf-uploader.php wird zur Ermittlung der Adresse PHP_SELF herangezogen. Das habe ich nun angepasst.

Hallo, vielen Dank für den hilfreichen Beitrag!
Ich habe mein Blog umgezogen, nachdem ich es unter einer anderen Domain mitsamt Pfadverzeichnissen neu angelegt hatte. Danach habe ich die DB umgezogen.
Jetzt ist folgendes passiert: Im Backend bei der Plugin-Config und beim Simple:Press Forum ist bei einzelnen Links immer noch der "alte" Pfad enthalten, der natürlich mit der neuen Domain dann ins Leere weist.

So sieht das dann aus:
Installationspfad http://www.hilfsdomain.de/meinname/blog
Neuer Pfad http://www.meinname.de
Der neue Pfad zeigt per Domainweiterleitung auf den Installationspfad. WP wurde komplett auf den neuen Pfad umkonfiguriert (in wp-config.php, wie oben angegeben).

Wenn ich jetzt im Backend auf die Einstellungen vom Supercache gehe (oder im Forum einen Upload machen will), baut er mit einen Pfad wiefolgt auf:
http://www.meinname.de/meinname/blog/wp-content...

Was habe ich übersehen? Hat jemand eine Idee, was ich hier falsch eingestellt habe? Die DB habe ich komplett durchgeflöht, dort ist keine Referenz mehr zu finden...

Wenn ich das im Feld Hostname eintrage, User und Passwort hinzu, kommt wieder die Fehlermeldung

Fehler: Bei der Verbindung zum Server trat ein Fehler auf. Bitte überprüfe die Einstellungen.

und der Inhalt vom Feld Hostname ändert sich auf:

hape42.de.xxxxxxx.kasserver.com://hape42.de.xxxxxxx.kasserver.com

mit filezilla funktionieren die oben gemachten Angaben übrigends einwandfrei...

Das ist von Anbieter zu Anbieter total verschieden. Bei 1&1 z.B. musst du deine URL (www.halloichbins.de) als "Host" angeben. Müsste in deinen Unterlagen stehen, die du als FTP-Zugang von deinem Provider bekommen hast.

Das sagt dir der Webspace-Anbieter, in der Regel ist es aber localhost.

Was muss ich bei "Hostname" eintragen? Ich habe den DBNamen und den Server eingetragen, beides mal kommt:

Die Datenbank ist aber erreichbar...
